In today’s article we are going to turn the spotlight on one of our clients with whom Intrinsiq has been working since 2016 - we are referring to The MC Academy. 

So who are The MC Academy?

MC Academy (formerly known as MCSE – Manchester Central School of English) is an English Language Academy located in the centre of Manchester. Since 2005, MC Academy has been welcoming students from all over the world to the school, where they provide students with everything they need to improve their English language skills and boost their confidence. 

The MC Academy is accredited by the British Council, which guarantees a high quality of teaching. They are also active members of English UK. 

As an English language Academy, MC Academy provides a full range of English language courses at every level – from General English to Exam Preparation, as well as specialist courses tailored to students’ needs.

Where is MC Academy exactly located and what facilities can one find there?

MC Academy is located in the centre of Manchester city centre in Piccadilly Gardens, close to all major transportation links in and out of the city.

At MC Academy, there are a number of facilities available to students. Students are free to use these facilities whenever they are available to complete their homework, socialise with friends, or pray throughout the course of the school day.

What does MC Academy specialise in?

MC Academy provides a wide variety of English language courses, from General English courses to One-to-One courses and Junior Courses.

Here is a brief overview of each one of the school's main courses. General English courses are for students who want to improve their English for their careers, their studies, or just for fun! The Business English course is for students who want to develop their careers in an English-speaking business environment. 

Some other courses offered at MC Academy

The Pre-Sessional Course is designed to provide students with the academic knowledge required for university. One-to-one classes seek to highlight an individual’s areas for improvement and provide opportunities to work on individual needs. An individual learning plan is agreed upon between the teacher and the student, ensuring that the student’s needs and requirements are met. 

The EAP (English for Academic Purposes) course at MC Academy is designed for students who wish to pursue an academic career by studying at a UK university. The EAP course provides students with the academic skills and knowledge to progress to higher education in the UK. And finally, the Junior Summer School provides young learners from around the globe to practise their English skills whilst making new friends. Several packages are available as part of this programme to suit every students’ needs.
